Searching for motherboards from AMD or Intel that have more than three Thunderbolt connections is challenging. Some boards feature Thunderbolt headers that can work with PCIe cards, though retailers don’t offer a clear filter for built-in ports like the backplate.

There isn't one MOBO with three Thunderbolts, so choose any motherboard you prefer and add Thunderbolt PCIe expansion cards as needed.

So far, the board requires a Thunderbolt header on the plate to work with an extension card. I couldn’t find any online store offering that filter. It would help to know how to search specifically for onboard headers or similar options, and also to get some Mobo suggestions.
