AMD Monster Hunter bundle and verification tool
AMD Monster Hunter bundle and verification tool
the tool checks the cpu serial number for verification. your first 9600x is missing the motherboard or chassis, which is causing delays. the second one arrived today and should work for both builds. using the first won’t affect your friend’s installation, but it might cause issues if you need the second one for your own setup.
It checks for a suitable SKU in the system. I purchased a 7800x3D while Starfield was free, and at that time I had a 7900x. The 7900x qualified for Starfield Premium, whereas the 7800x3D only got Starfield Normal. Using my 7900x with the tool gave me the Premium version.
It seems the validation isn’t checking for serial numbers, only confirming hardware usage. The correct approach is not to redeem the code because it was purchased for work, particularly when it involves someone else’s funds. I never used any codes obtained from buying DIY parts for my employer for this reason.
I obtained Starfield for $10 by purchasing the key from someone who received it for free with a CPU. The 6900 XT I had was eligible, and it activated without any problems. It wasn't the same product, but it worked just fine.
I'm also using the free RAM that came with the order because that build uses Sodimms.
Purchase another unit from Amazon and send the defective one back there. It seems like all the same brand is involved.
