AMD ITX motherboard questions
AMD ITX motherboard questions
I'm considering setting up an ITX build but received advice from a friend to be cautious about using small ROM size chips for BIOS on ITX motherboards such as the MSI B450 AC. I'm curious if there are other motherboards similar to this that you should steer clear of, and if so, could you provide a list of them?
The tiny ROM chip isn't crucial at the moment since the upgrade options for next-gen Ryzen seem identical across all B450 boards.
It depends on your needs and budget. The B450 can still be a good investment if you value its reliability and features, but consider current market trends and condition before deciding.
Note that AMD explicitly stated the B450 board updated for next-gen Ryzen won't be fixable, and it will only work with third-gen CPUs and later models.
Simpler CPU compatibility and marginally improved RAM support. Still, even with a third generation CPU, any good B450 board can handle 3600MHz memory without trouble.
