AMD FX 8370 8 cores 4ghz - 4.3boost MOBO: Gigabyte UD3 FXA RAM:2x4 ADATA 1333mhz POWER: Seasonic 620W
The goal is to overclock the 8370 using your assistance, achieving the highest clock speed with air cooling. This setup maintained a comfortable maximum temperature of around 55°C during stress tests with prime95. I adjust settings, monitor changes, and share results!
Please suggest starting points. I recommend beginning by maximizing the multiplier to around 4.5ghz, then reducing it after disabling turbo boost and ensuring quiet operation.

if you're trying to learn how to OC, it's best to avoid this approach. Focus on studying and researching first—don't just try it without preparation. For those who are just in the mood, that's a different situation altogether.

I'm doing this to gather more details about people who are OCing the 8370, since I haven't found much info and I'm interested in their experiences. So far, I've reached around 4.5ghz using a multiplier and disabling most BIOS features. The Vcore is at stock 1.37, and the next 200mhz required an upgrade to 1.48vcore, which stabilized at 4745mhz temps—explosive from 55°C to 75°C. I'm fine with that, considering my friend was running at 84°C while playing games. Any advice on what to do next? Should I keep it like this or experiment with the FSB? An 1.48vcore doesn't seem too extreme for this CPU, right?

Well, the maximum safe voltage for Vishera is 1.55 according to AMD. I'm not trying to push you into anything dangerous, but I really don't want the show to wrap up too soon.
On the other hand, I believe your chip contains 4.9, while the motherboard doesn't. Just proceed with caution.

Sorry guys, my internet went down for about 12 hours. I'm too lazy to experiment with FSB and other voltages right now.
