ALRIGHT AGREED! The numbers are pretty off, varying from "Meh" to completely unreasonable, all scattered and leaning heavily toward Intel. But you mentioned an FX chip—definitely not on par with an i7, even if it's just average for that model. The i7 will always outperform the FX in most cases, so go ahead when you're ready.

It’s conceivable that Rockstar tailored RAGE for FX CPUs before the next-gen consoles, considering the upcoming AMD designs for PS4 and Xbox One. Jaguar offered some unique features, yet the hardware still boasted eight cores, making optimization for full utilization logical. Most PC engines from the past decade supported only four threads, so this was a notable advantage. Bulldozer provided developers with a couple of years to refine the engine before Jaguar’s release. It’s possible Rockstar streamlined the engine specifically for Bulldozer, anticipating future hardware. Since Jaguar and Bulldozer share similarities, they likely retained optimizations that worked on earlier consoles. Regardless of the outcome, these titles run better than one might expect from FX chips.
