I was trying to boost the AMD FX 8350 to 4.6ghz in Black Ops 3. It never went above 75 degrees Celsius. I'm also using a stock cooler and thinking about ways to lower my temperatures. My CPU is running at 1.45 volts and reaching those temps, so I'm curious if that's acceptable for it.

basically any air cooler featuring four heat pipes and a 120mm fan would allow for a straightforward 4.6GHz upgrade. For upgrades needing around 1.5 volts or higher, especially those demanding more intense performance, a specialized AiO water loop is likely necessary.

You're left with just one choice—a new cooler. At 75c, it's almost at the point where performance starts to drop. This processor might already be slowing down.

CountMike shared his thoughts on achieving stable performance. He believes standard air coolers with four heat pipes and a 120mm fan can easily support a 4.6GHz processor. For higher frequencies near or above 1.5v, more advanced solutions like an AiO water loop are likely necessary. On a 4.4GHz setup, the situation might be slightly different.

My components are:
FX 8350
Evga GTX 1070 SC
Asus-m5a99fx pro2.0 motherboard
I have the same CPU. How can I achieve overclocking?

I was trying to push my AMD FX 8350 to 4.6ghz on Black Ops 3. It never went above 75 degrees Celsius. I’m also using the stock cooler and thinking about ways to lower my temperatures. My CPU runs at 1.45 volts and reaches those temps. Do those conditions seem suitable for that processor?

My details are:
FX 8350
Evga GTX 1070 SC
Asus-m5a99fx pro2.0 motherboard
Same CPU as you, I’m wondering how to overclock it?
You can check your BIOS and there are many YouTube guides on how to begin.
