AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz (Eight-Core)
You don't appear to be very familiar with this, but based on what I remember, since I no longer have my AMD to use in BIOS (the preferred way), my configuration was set up with a multiplier of 21/4200mhz, turbo boost turned off, xmp mem profile enabled, and a voltage of +0.28v at 4200mhz. For my usual setup, I'd usually turn off all power-saving options except "cool & quite." Raising the FSB (the "200" setting) seemed to cause more issues than it solved, and using anything above 4300mhz led to instability regardless of the voltage applied. Results can vary depending on the chip.
My maximum stable OC for that chip was 4.2ghz with +.28v, 4300 also worked well, but for some reason an odd number of OC settings didn’t seem correct. 4.4ghz was always unstable, no matter how much V I applied. Also, the multiplier-only OC was far more reliable than adding FSB, even increasing it to 205/210 on the FSB caused more issues than it solved—at least around 4 megahertz.
Please check the PSU before suggesting overclocking.

Unless it's the G2, I wouldn't feel confident attempting to overclock it. Do I really have any capacity for that, or is the voltage just insufficient? If I could manage it slightly more, what steps would I take and what potential issues should I be aware of?
