Hey everyone, I own an AMD FX-6300 with a 3.5ghz CPU and the original cooler. I'm wondering how much performance boost I could get by overclocking. Any advice?

You'll need an upgraded cooler; the Cryorig H7 works well. Also, check your motherboard—some models struggle with overclocking.

The FX-6300 should not be overclocked with the stock cooler. Your current temperatures are idle and at full load. I expect your temps during heavy use to reach around 60°C. If that’s the situation, it’s best not to overclock. With a solid motherboard, power supply, and cooler, the FX-6300 can reach 4.1 ghz and above. Providing more details about your components would help further, as they also affect overclocking performance. You’re free to attempt OC as long as your maximum temperature remains below 65°C (preferably under 60°C).
