AMD FidelityFX, Gimmick?
AMD FidelityFX, Gimmick?
Just attending the AMD conference, I have to admit FidelityFX seems quite disappointing. It looks like just a sharpness filter from their demo, making asset edges appear worse and textures less defined. It feels like such an odd choice after the very positive showcase of the Ryzen 3000. Oops, I should have shared this earlier in Graphics Cards.
We aren't entirely certain about its functionality yet, but it seems designed to enhance images by upscaling them while keeping soft visuals intact and maintaining performance standards. The Unity woman mentioned in the demo expressed a preference for not over-sharpening to avoid making things look unnatural.
