Hello! This is my initial post, so please understand that I might not have everything ready. I’m building a custom PC without using pre-made parts—someone else assembled them for me, and now I’m trying to figure things out. I’m experiencing some issues when setting the RAM during EXPO 1 or EXPO 2. Here are my specs:

- Ryzen 7 7700X 2 x 16GB Trident Z Neo DDR5 6000 (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N)
- Asus TUF Gaming X670E-Plus Wifi 1TB
- Samsung 980 Pro Seasonic Focus GX850 80 Plus Gold 850W PSU
- GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
- Windows 11 Pro

I read some online advice, and it seems many people face the same problem. When I try to boot with EXPO 1 or EXPO 2, RAM works fine at 6000, but it takes around 45 seconds to an hour for the PC to start. This might be due to memory training settings. I attempted to turn on Memory Context Restore, which caused total instability and a blue screen within the first 30 seconds. Updating my BIOS from 1222 to 1223 made things worse, affecting temperature readings and causing CPU temps to spike to 50-55°C even under heavy load. After that, I tried the newer BIOS beta 1410, but it didn’t help much. Eventually, I went back to version 1222, which is stable, though the long boot time remains a hassle. Since I upgraded from a 7th-gen Intel i7 laptop—booting in under 15 seconds—I’m hoping this setup might work better now. Looking forward to your suggestions or any solutions you’ve found!

The configuration is the problem; it's common for issues on many systems. Skip it and simply go along with the fact that AM5 tends to take a while to boot.

Hopefully just for now, I've heard people getting the slow boot time fixed after a bios update, which did not happen in my case...

9 updates in BIOS for my X670E Taichi and memory training only activate after a CMOS reset or BIOS upgrade. After that, the next boot bypasses it. Memory Context Restore has been part of my BIOS since launch but appears to work properly now. Perhaps it's just popularity, yet staying alert on this platform gives me a sense that Asus devices might struggle more with this setup. All in all, this feels very personal and based on individual experience.
