The listed price is something no one in the house can afford. The good thing is it often lowers the cost of earlier models, making it easier for people nearby to enjoy trips to Naples, Rome, or maybe Milan.

If they make it through, it’s exactly how they’re being treated—cooked in both desktop and server markets, with the latter being the key player. Otherwise there’s no rivalry left, and things will just repeat Intel’s path.

If the whispers hold truth, with the IOD permitting 12 CCDs per chip in the dense model and 16 in the performance version, a standard Zen 6 CCD featuring 12 cores could support 192c/384t. A Zen 6c equipped with the rumored 32c CCD would yield 384 cores and 768 threads. I bet those new Epycs never made sense for regular users, hehe.

My guess is that Zen6 chips can accommodate 12 cores on a CCD, whereas Zen5 uses 8, which means Zen6c likely supports even more cores than Zen5c.

It appears you're assuming each chip accommodates more than 8 CCDs, which isn't accurate.

cheaper than RTX5090, considering current motherboard costs, EPCy boards are still quite reasonable.
