AMD crossfire profiles enhance performance by adjusting graphics settings for better frame rates. If a game lacks a built-in profile, you can try popular ones like Lost Planet 2 to see improvements. The optimal settings depend on the game and your hardware, so experimenting with different profiles can help achieve smoother gameplay.

Discuss more on platforms such as Guru3D/OCN. Witcher 3 performs optimally using the Sleeping Dogs profile. Turn off in-game AA and water simulation.

I focus more on GTA V itself. But I was curious in general—most people test all the options first before deciding what works best.

I’m struggling with crossfire in GTA V. I tried using it but ended up disabling it so I could only rely on one card. Activating crossfire actually lowers my FPS no matter what I do.

I'll give it a shot when I'm back. From what I see, the R7 260x can handle this game. Basically, an HD 6970 should be able to match or even surpass it.

Yes, GTA:V has its own profile. Did you try playing in Borderless mode?

I really don’t want to say it, but I had to do the same…for now. In fact, I pulled out my second GPU.

It was a complete screen. I understand crossfire only works when you play in full screen. The 15.4 drop caused my FPS to fall from 40-50 to 15-25. I went back to 14.6 using the Omega driver. Interestingly, with 1st person view, lag disappeared almost completely and FPS stayed around 45-70 in third person, though drops to 23 FPS occurred. Odd. I also tried using a faster hard drive, but it didn’t help. It seems GTA V shouldn't need an SSD for smooth performance.

Use the newest unofficial Beta driver, typically paired with the latest CFX profile and updates. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=399595 Remember to run the Display Driver Uninstaller before installing.

Hey there, let me know! I'll give it a shot once I'm back. The 15.4 situation got worse.
