Yeah man! Its nice that the furnace isn't coming on every ten minutes now lol. We are having a bit of a warm spell now.. its only -6c outside, up from -30 lol. Temps down here are 22c according to the barometer combo unit we have down here. Gotta keep it warmish for our garden You know I was going to say Duron first, but I figured no one really plays with those anymore lol.. I hear you man, this stuff loves to fly.. it cost more than my motherboard.. I feel it may be holding them back.. could be the operator too! But I think I am getting the hang of it. I would be more than happy to help you man. I might be a little rusty, but everything is still there. Its kind of like ocing 939 maybe.. or not.. I haven't touched it since Conroe was the man..

There are definitely better options for memory overclocking. Your setup seems solid, around 4400mhz, which is a solid upgrade compared to older standards like DDR3 2.1. It’s clear that certain memory and boards work exceptionally well together. The shift to processors changed things, but this should still be a strong configuration. This will likely be my first 1366 build, and I’m eager to get the most out of it. I plan to use my Geothermal loop and consider either removing the lid or switching to direct die cooling. If the geothermal readings look promising—around 6-8°C delta—I’ll fill the dewar and give it a good run.

For fun I decided to run memtest... it didn't last long lol. Maybe the sub timings were too tight... or something else could've caused it, maybe Tfaw was it? Probably Tfaw and trc and trfc too. Yes, I know watchoo means you'll like it. It shouldn't be an issue—you're above average with hardware, smarter than me, and that's a fact I've never doubted. Volt modded, extreme cooling or anything like that doesn't change that. But honestly, I'd still be interested.

Not more knowledgeable about this than a gigabyte board. The learning curve will be a bit steep since I haven’t used one in years. I’ve worked with different projects, but I’m not an expert in everything. It’s quite challenging.

I had a UD7 I believe it was. It showed a lot of droop everywhere, so don’t hesitate with the voltage. If you think it will be 1.4v, it’s likely closer to 1.3v, honestly. I might be overreacting. It felt nice overall, had that premium feel and appearance. The bios were a bit underwhelming but the memory performance was decent in my mind.
