You're wondering about the availability and cost of the new AMD CPUs. Many people are curious about when they'll be in stock and whether it's worth waiting, especially since DDR5 memory is pricier.

DDR5 doesn't directly impact Zen3d; it's a separate memory standard. AM4 is related to older CPUs, not DDR5 effects.

What are your thoughts on the stocks? When will the CPU become accessible to everyone? I’m not keen on waiting another year xD

You could place a preorder like many others. The main concern here is that you're purchasing without knowing the details, but given the recent trends, it seems like a solid choice.

Zen 3 performed well with solid stocks, dropped in price during the fall of 2020, and became accessible in early 2021. Likely around four months after its release.

Zen 4 will adopt DDR5. Based on Intel's track record, switching from DDR4 to DDR5 doesn't always boost performance, though it might help in specific scenarios. My take on DDR5 is that early kits are scarce. I’d prefer sticking with DDR4 now. Even if DDR5 becomes available, future support for faster versions seems unlikely, making the effort unnecessary. Opinion only.

I was also considering the same thing, honestly—it seems like a lot of effort for just more cash... Thanks. I’m going to go with DDR4 and the current generation CPU.
