AMD chips featuring graphics capabilities
I am a regular user of PCs. I've been assembling computers for myself and family members over the past six years. Recently, I'm planning to switch to AMD processors. Until now, I've only used Intel CPUs, as my builds were all Intel-based. On the AMD site, they list options like "Processors with Radeon Graphics" or "Ryzen with Graphics." I'm checking the page https://www.amd.com/en/processors/athlon-desktop. If I select "Ryzen," does that mean I must purchase a graphics card? And if I choose "Ryzen with Graphics," can I still run the system as I did with Intel, while having the choice of a graphics card?
If the file ends with "G", it includes an IGPU; otherwise, you'll need a GPU to upload. Keep in mind that APUs are older models, like a 3400G, which is better than Zen 2, and they use different AGES codes compared to Zen + CPU variants.
For CPUs with names ending in G, you can skip the graphics card. This applies to models like Ryzen 3 2200G, 2400G, 3200G, and 3400G. However, if you have another Ryzen CPU, you must include a graphics card.
Processors ending in 'G' include built-in graphics. The newest options for buyers are the 3200G (4c/4t) and the 3400g (4c/8t).
When the CPU includes a 'G' in its name, the rear I/O on the motherboard functions properly. Without that designation, those connections fail to operate.
