AMD CF RX 480 - Other brands suggestions?
Windows 10
i7-4790K
Asus Strix O8G RX480 (Stock: 1330Mhz) (Current: 1400Mhz)
Sapphire Nitro+ OC (Stock: 1342Mhz) (Current: N/A)
The Sapphire is coming soon, the difference in cards comes down to finding another Strix that matches or beats my price (I got mine cheap on sale). I’m concerned about OC-ing a crossfire since I haven’t done it with SLI/CF before.
Anyone have advice? Or is OC-ing multi-brand just... unsupported?
1) Considering both models have their own software, which one should I choose?
2) If I adjust one setting, does the other retain those changes (especially between brands)?
3) Should I target 1400 or settle for something like 1350? Just looking for tips.
Thanks.
I believe using ASUS One would be ideal, though MSI Afterburner can handle both cards simultaneously. They match closely in specifications and speeds; even at stock settings, performance is acceptable. Faster card will win, but stock should work just fine. More people should see this, as AMD has updated drivers and it would be great to revisit CF 480 if there are any changes since release.

I’d appreciate seeing more discussions about this. AMD’s new drivers would be helpful—someone could run CF 480 again to check for any changes since release.
