Hey everyone, I just set up a new system with a Ryzen 5 5500, an ASRock B450M Steel Legend and a Radeon RX 6600. I connected everything, double-checked the connections, but it won’t boot. The fans and lights are on except for the RGB on the motherboard. While trying to update the BIOS, I realized the motherboard doesn’t support BIOS flashback, so I don’t want to buy another CPU. What should I do?

Did you purchase the B450 motherboard or did you already have a different CPU before? The B450 requires a BIOS update to support the Ryzen 5000.

I purchased the item in perfect condition. I understand AMD offers CPU loans. Would you like guidance on how to contact them?

I'm not lucky, do you have a PC repair shop or someone with an old Ryzen CPU nearby? If not, you might find a first-generation Ryzen CPU on eBay for a low price, though it could be a hassle.

Sorry, I don't have anyone nearby with similar skills. There are a few PC maintenance shops about 45 minutes away from me.

I didn't need to visit the AMD site for a loaned CPU. Appreciate the assistance from @Ottoman420!

I'm confirming the issue seems to be a BIOS incompatibility. After removing the CPU and powering on again, the computer didn't respond at all, including the fans. The RAM test also showed no improvement.
