AMD Athlon II X4 635 paired with ASUS M3A78-CM
Hi,
I’m looking for advice on overclocking an Athlon II x4 635 with an ASUS M3A78-CM motherboard and Kingston 800FSB RAM. Could someone suggest the best settings and the potential performance gains? Thanks in advance.
As a BE processor, simply boost the multiplier incrementally during benchmarking while monitoring temperatures. It’s ideal to disable all power-saving settings in BIOS and switch to manual mode with standard values. After a few iterations, gradually raise the CPU voltage to stabilize performance. A dedicated aftermarket cooler would be beneficial—without it, progress will be limited.
