AMD Announces Free Game Distribution Initiative
It seems your motherboard maker might influence your chances of success if you assemble your own PC. I mainly use Asus Mobo products and haven’t faced any issues with free games. I think the same applies to MSI boards. If you have a Gigabyte, Evga, Biostar, Asrock or E CS board in your build, you’re likely doing well. I just received a free game on Steam for owning an AMD graphics card, which is great. I already own most of the titles on the list (like Farcry 3/Blooddragon, Dirt 3/Rally, etc.), so I picked Space Run. You need to sign up on AMD’s site, then download a tool that checks your hardware and confirms you have the right GPU/CPU/APU. The eligible list is here: https://www.amd4u.com/amdgamepromo/files...omo_TC.pdf. It looks like the FX8320/8350 CPU models aren’t being recognized properly, though I’m not sure if that’s fixed. The promo page is also available at: https://www.amd4u.com/amdgamepromo/
It's time to play some games. Make sure you've checked for the Net framework, as I didn't have it installed or the correct version.
