Sure thing! Here’s a rephrased version of your message:

Hey everyone... this is going to be a lengthy explanation, but I’m trying to give you enough context so you understand what’s happening. Let me begin with my original setup: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E gaming rig, equipped with Wi-Fi 6, 32GB DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz, GSKILL memory (slots A2 and B2), a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro drive, a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro storage drive, an EVGA 1000W Platinum PSU from Zotac, a Zotac Trinity RTX 3080 12G cooler, and a ML360AIO Dynamic O11 case.

The issue started with random boot problems. The system would freeze on various error codes—like a 16-Yellow Light, 46-White Light, and multiple white/green flashes. It would take nearly half an hour to reboot manually before it finally launched Windows. After about three weeks, I upgraded everything to brand-new components. My specs were: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, ASUS ROG X670 Crosshair Hero, 32GB DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz, GSKILL memory (slots A2 & B2), RTX 3080 12G, 2x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro drives, EVGA 1000W Platinum PSU, and a Zotac Trinity RTX 3080 cooler.

The BIOS was updated to the latest version, and all drivers were refreshed. Once connected to Wi-Fi, it works perfectly—just needs around 30 minutes to fully boot. However, it still struggles with intense gaming sessions or prolonged usage.

In my second build, everything was brand new, but the same problems persisted. I kept the BIOS set to default and didn’t disable AMD EXPO, even though I tried turning it off without success. It seems the hardware itself is fine, but something about the configuration or environment is causing the issue.

We need to check if any elements from build A interacted with build B.

These are the latest parts. The initial project was for my son, and the next one is for me.

Have you ever changed the SSD firmware? Samsung offers an app on their site to handle this. It can be tricky to upload your current version, but giving it a try might help. Good luck!

Are you matching the motherboards with memory kits on the QVL or Supported Memory categories? Do you mention G.Skill, though you haven’t specified the exact model?

The initial build had memory issues that weren't on the QVL list, which I assumed caused the problem. I purchased two kits from the QVL list and started using them. After that, the performance improved noticeably in build #1, but it kept recurring and hasn't stopped. Build #2 has been running with the QVL-listed memory sense during the first boot.

Are there alternative GPUs available for testing in these systems? Occasionally specific GPUs may lead to issues on these newer platforms.

I regret to say both are Zotac Trinity RTX 3080 12G cards. I initially ordered the 10g model from Canada Computers, but they mistakenly sent me the 12G versions at the same price. One uses a DisplayPort connection while the other is connected via HDMI.

Looking into the matter reveals several users facing comparable challenges with those motherboards. However, locating individuals who experienced delays similar to yours has been tough—often taking up to half an hour. One reference mentioned GPU orientation, suggesting your GPU was mounted vertically, possibly due to a riser cable affecting boot speed. It seems the shared components in these builds might be contributing to the extended startup times. Identifying the exact culprit remains challenging without more details.
