Hello, I noticed an exclamation mark on the tray icon within AMD Adrenalin, after clicking it to check for updates. There was no update displayed and no button to press for that purpose. This has never happened before. Here’s an IMGUR album containing a screenshot of everything I mentioned, along with a description of each image without referencing specific dates or times. The screenshots aren’t recent, but the PC details are accurate. I haven’t tried anything yet because I’m unsure and hesitant to make mistakes, and I kept my computer in its original condition. There seems to be a problem—maybe someone should build this setup for me. It’s not due to lack of time, but because I’m not very reliable. Please, if anyone has the chance, treat me like I’m five years old and let me know if you think you can help.
Unless you plan to use the iGPU for additional output, turn it off in the UEFI settings and remove the corresponding driver. Usually found under Advanced > NB Configuration > iGPU section. I’ve noticed various configurations on AM5 motherboards.
It makes sense to turn off the iGPU when you don't need it. It can lead to misunderstandings among users and affect certain game experiences.
Occasionally it appears as multi-GPU or multi-monitor functionality. That seems confusing, but it's offered under a single label. Yes, turn off the integrated graphics—your dedicated GPU performs much better than the built-in one.
iGPU remains beneficial in certain situations. In my recent setup with an Asrock Deskmeet X600, it was disabled by default when paired with a dGPU to access both display outputs.
