I possess an AMD A8-7410 APU paired with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics, along with OverDrive installed. It indicates incompatibility, but my main board is a Dell unit. Can I still attempt to overclock it?

No, particularly with a Dell motherboard. OEMs, such as Dell, turn off overclocking options to avoid system instability. Unfortunately, you won't be able to adjust the speed settings of this device. The component you can probably improve for better performance is switching from an HDD to a SSD (unless you already have one).
