From the start I aimed to create a setup that would replace my existing two PCs for streaming on Twitch. I was researching top CPUs for both streaming and gaming, and the 3950x caught my attention because of its 16 cores. I thought it could handle streaming and gaming smoothly.

When I mentioned being able to do both, I meant high frame rates. My monitor is 240 Hz, and I wanted to make the most of it for games that require competitive FPS.

I constructed this powerful rig over three days of continuous work. Here’s a picture of the build:

The cases I have are the top ones, though they only come in 8GB units. The next option is the 16 3600, available in 16 or 32GB sticks, but it's not inexpensive.

Your recall rate is slowing down this chipset (I have one also). This setup requires 3600 with top timings available. I'm testing DDR4 3600 at 3800 speeds using 14-16-16-36 settings.

Maintaining a constant voltage of 1.4 isn't ideal for your CPU. It's better to stick with the default settings and allow it to function naturally. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, investing in a 3600mhz RAM package would be advantageous.

I would change to NVENC in OBS since it might also improve frame rate.

How much is this impacting my processor? I recently received the RAM and can send it back to the micro-center for a different model. Would you mind suggesting some options? Thank you for informing me that my processor is being affected.

Also I didn't even realize what the timings were, hehe. What's the best thing to look for?

These are the top options for me, though they only offer 8gb modules. The next one is cas 16 3600, available in 16 or 32gb sticks, but it's not inexpensive.
