Hello...
I'm just starting out with OC and have a few questions. If I don't enable overclocking, does that mean the CPU will only run at its base clock of 3.6 GHz? Or will it automatically adjust to a range like 3.6 to 3.9 depending on PC usage?
I turned on Game Boost in MSi Bios and now my CPU shows 3.85 GHz with a voltage of 1.444V... Idle temperature ranges from 34 to 44 degrees Celsius. I ran a CPU stress test and the temperature spiked to 79 degrees in just one minute. Is this normal?
Is it okay to use this feature?
My GPU still displays at 400 MHz, but in maximum mode it shows 1240 MHz... How do I set the GPU clock? I can't find any information about the GPU in the BIOS.
And is overclocking safe if my PC temperatures are low and everything seems stable?

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G
Motherboard: MSI B450 Pro VDH Plus
RAM: GSKill Flarex 2x8GB 3200MHz
Power Supply: Thermaltake Lite Power 450W

It indicates the system will increase its performance to the required level and return to base once the task is complete. These temperatures are typical for a stock cooler; it's not unusual during stress tests to observe spikes up to 90°C, with load temperatures near 81°C. Stress test readings don't represent regular usage—they show the maximum possible under the most extreme conditions over an extended period. Yes, Game Boost is safe to use, but it isn't optimal for achieving the highest overclock performance.

Thank you for your clear feedback.
I see now that I just need to use the GPU setting.
But I'm having trouble locating the GPU OC option in BIOS.

one more question
in the picture above there is option for 'Initiate Graphic Adapater" and in it there is PEG and IGD...what is it for?
Sorry for awkard Questions..
Edit :
I tried using ryzenmaster to over clock igpu only
I increased it to 1500mhz and voltage to 1.2 and then clicked apply but it didnt asked me for a restart and in current it showed igpu at 1500mhz so i did Fumark bench test both with 1240mhz and 1500mhz but both results came same.
Here is results :
