This is an update for the original thread:
Question Should I perform an upgrade to my 7 y/o system?

I created that post to obtain suggestions and perspectives from skilled PC Builders, if upgrading an old system really takes the worth. I noticed that almost every comment on that thread discouraged me to upgrade the old system. And many suggested to go for a new Intel 13th gen system (or similar).
However, I decided to bring some new life to the old pal, and I created a monster gaming PC!
First, I changed an Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i7 (7700K, 4.2 Ghz.).
Second, I changed my old RAM, from 8GB PC2133 to Kingston 32GB PC2400. (2 slots 16 GB each)
Finally, I changed my mechanical HDD, to 960 GB SSD Kingston A400.
I can tell that my system is faster than ever! It boots Windows 10 in only a few seconds, and starts session in around 30 seconds. I played American Truck Simulator, Overwatch 2 and Starcraft 2 with huge performance improvements!
The only disadvantage that I have right now is that my CPU is running between 98 degrees Celsius to 100. I may need to invest in a better cooler for my CPU. (I noticed that when using Ubuntu the temperature goes down to 50-70 degrees Celcius).
How much did I spend in the new system? Well, about the 30% (or less) of a new gaming PC. I bought my CPU and RAM in eBay, and the SSD in a local store. I spent a total of US $369.60.

Current power supply specifications: make, model, wattage, age, condition—original to build, new, refurbished, or used.
PSU is a standard 600W unit. It's not particularly special, just came with the case. It was brand new at the time I assembled my previous setup (around 7 years ago).
I would be very cautious about that aging PSU.
Ensure all crucial data is saved in backups at least twice, in locations separate from the main system.
Check that these backups can be recovered and read properly.
Familiarize yourself with Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer to track rising error codes, warnings, and other events.
The main worry is that the PSU might be close to or already past its end of life, possibly failing as new parts are installed.
Think carefully...
The SSD upgrade has made your PC significantly faster. The improvement is truly remarkable.
Adding more RAM also makes a big difference.
The i7 CPU seems to be constrained by the motherboard, and the previous model would have likely matched its performance.
However, you're satisfied with the results, and everything looks good. Enjoy the enhancements!
