6400MHz isn't ideal. Try 4800 or 5200. Some users found 128GB units that worked perfectly at 5200MHz right away, while faster models didn't. The 48GB versions also seem to handle higher speeds out of the box with XMP at 5600MHz.

I understood that too. I've noticed it before. That's why I considered it. I'd be really pleased with around 5000. It seems like I might need to learn on my own somehow. This looks like a tough college-level subject with several other classes before it becomes manageable. Outside of that, maybe one day I'll find the right person and get help. Thanks for your time and thoughts. I'll keep reading.

I finally managed to adjust a few things on my rig. I sealed it up and realized I missed trying the other RAM slot. I inserted all four and powered it on. It didn’t function properly but apparently adjusted some settings automatically. Instead of a reset, I got a boot failure. In the BIOS I noticed certain entries were auto-activated before. I reverted them and set the multiplier to 58. It took time, but it’s now operational. I plan to run a diagnostic test and check if it can reach 6000 or 5800.
