I tried AMD once more after more than ten years since my previous attempt ended in total failure. I ordered a 7700X paired with an ASUS X670E Tuf Gaming board, and installed Gskill 6000Mhz RAM at CL30 because all processor reviews mentioned that speed. I encountered some boot stability problems, so I tried EXPO 2, then EXPO 1, and after updating the BIOS, it worked for two months. Later, I performed BIOS updates as they were released, but one day it wouldn’t load. The CMOS remained unresponsive, and the RMA process took two months before a refund was issued. I switched to an ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E board, added 6000Mhz Gskill CL32 RAM (available on the QVL), and purchased a new PSU Platinum. After replacing my GPU, I noticed a memory management error—Windows displayed a blue screen with EXPO 2, then switched to EXPO 1. It would boot once, but after a second reboot it would loop through post codes and enter safe mode. At this stage, I’ve changed most components except the CPU. It seems like low-quality CPUs might be the issue. I managed to get it stable for a few days or a week without problems, then one day it stopped responding completely until I adjusted something in the BIOS related to memory. After several reboots, it worked again at 6000Mhz. It could be that the ASUS BIOS is faulty or contains hidden AI settings you can’t disable. I’m wondering if someone using an ASUS board has faced a similar problem and found a solution to prevent it. ASUS support seems unhelpful—they suggested returning the motherboard, but that won’t fix the underlying issue.

Operation is running on Manual mode with DDR5-6000 configured and auto settings enabled. It appears functional currently, but it may stop booting within the coming days or weeks.

SPD states that the CL32 memory tab shows CL50, but it does not clarify which one is being used.

I face a comparable problem with the Asus X670E-F. BIOS EXPO function works but I can't activate it via AMD Ryzen Master... The ECO mode in BIOS prevents the PC from waking from sleep, so I switched to the "Eco" setting in Amory Crate software... Even though EXPO was turned on in BIOS, the tRC settings weren't correct. I have to manually adjust to what's listed in the EXPO profile.

I discovered a solution for the sleep issue you mentioned. Turn it off in the power settings to prevent the graphics card from experiencing severe power cuts and avoiding system crashes.

I didn’t realize I shared the same number of likes as you. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll give it another shot. It seems like Ryzen Master EXPO isn’t working with my Asus board, even though I thought it was disabled. Maybe that’s why the 7800X3D issues were more common on Asus boards.

I've thought about purchasing an X3D CPU to swap in for the 7700X and check if that resolves the issue. It's tough to pinpoint the exact cause.
