I'm working on a semi-budget build and need front USB-C support. I'm searching for a motherboard with AM4 compatibility. The old forum thread from last year isn't helpful anymore—I'm checking the latest options now. Cheers!

We are planning to pair it with a specific CPU model.

The product features a USB C header positioned at the bottom right of the RAM slots. It comes with a higher price point. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nHxbt6/...orus-elite

Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite offers a solid motherboard at an affordable price, featuring decent VRM alongside other budget-friendly options like the ASUS TUF B450 Plus and the latest MSI X570 Tomohawk (around $200). The MSI model should also include the necessary connector. It provides marginally better VRM compared to the Gigabyte Aorus Elite and the ASUS TUF Plus, though it might be pricier due to being a newer release.

Is this the most affordable available? I wasn’t aiming to exceed $160, but if it’s the sole choice then I feel limited. Also, appreciation for the quote suggestion.

Confirming the USB-C placement on the TUF B450—only visible on the back, not the front. Seeking a budget-friendly option under $160 whenever possible.

unfortunately it's a rather premium feature, you won't be able to find it on cheap boards.

I meant the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite and ASUS TUF Plus are excellent choices for VRMs and general performance, both offering solid value at a reasonable price. Most components under them are decent but not outstanding, often sacrificing quality for cost. Perhaps the ASUS PRIME X570-P is worth considering if I recall correctly. The TUF model lacks USB-C front panel support, only found in the Gigabyte version. The Tomahawk remains a solid investment at its listed price, though the new release might push it higher—around 250$ or more—and could sell out quickly. If you're willing to wait about a month, the B550 chipset lineup may arrive, with likely over 60 models featuring this chipset.
