If you don't like the results, now is the moment to improve... but my current version feels pretty dull, so I think I'll wait until the NVIDIA 5000 lineup arrives.

It's a really good CPU, but the latest GPUs aren't offering much value right now. I haven't even managed to run any games on my 3070 at full or near full settings. The difference between 3600 and 5800x3D isn't as noticeable in real playtime—only a slight improvement in responsiveness was seen after several days of testing. The main takeaway is that upgrading to 5800x3D doesn't seem worth it objectively.

If your setup is still functioning well, you probably don’t need to prioritize a CPU upgrade until the AM6 or w/e models arrive. It seems like you’re not pushing your machine to use cutting-edge hardware right away. I’d suggest checking that future upgrades offer room for optimization, so you can avoid constantly changing every generation just because it’s convenient. In my experience, I only upgrade when something starts to behave differently or when performance drops below expectations.
