I just realized I saved Potplayer from the incorrect site. Instead of https://potplayer.daum.net/, I downloaded it from https://daumpotplayer.com/. The file I received is the setup version for 64-bit, version 230707. You can find the download link here: https://www.videohelp.com/download/PotPl...230707.exe. There’s also a comparison image at https://i.imgur.com/6WfcFK3.png. Both setup files appear to be for the 64-bit version, but mine is a bit outdated compared to the other. Why is that? Is my computer clean? The setup file I used seems safe, with no viruses detected. According to https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/2355...b8ddd9d761, my file is clean. Potplayer has been installed a few weeks ago and is functioning perfectly with no issues. I only found out recently that I had downloaded it from the wrong website, which has caused me concern. Also, I’m curious about https://daumpotplayer.com/ – I couldn’t locate any information there. All I saw was a Reddit thread discussing whether Potplayer is safe now, mentioning an old post where setup files were reported to contain adware. That was long ago; the setup file no longer has that issue.
Run a comprehensive antivirus check followed by MalwareBytes analysis. If both reports indicate no threats, your system appears secure.
