Am I experiencing performance limitations due to my computer, or is the issue simply poor quality?
I recently purchased this new laptop approximately eight months ago, but I couldn’t find any prior information about it before my purchase. My initial budget was $600, and I decided to proceed with the acquisition. Immediately after powering on, I installed Windows, Steam, and CS:GO. Within the game, I achieved around 120 frames per second in the menu, leading me to believe the computer would perform adequately. When playing, particularly on maps like Mirage, my frame rate ranged from 50-60 fps. Although I suspected adjustments might improve performance, this wasn’t the case. I also tested Minecraft, obtaining roughly 100 fps, but the experience was notably jerky. Despite continuing to use it, I'm seeking your expertise to determine whether my laptop is suffering from a bottleneck or simply possesses subpar components. The graphics card appears to have limited utilization, even after reducing settings to their lowest levels; in some instances, I’ve experienced reduced frame rates with lowered configurations.

Is it actually utilizing the RX 540 instead of simply relying on the A10 APU?
Frag Maniac:
Are you positive it’s utilizing the RX 540 and not simply the A10 APU?

Cheers! I believe the issue is now resolved as it now displays RX 540 instead of a generic 500 series model. I’m going to perform some tests shortly.
Please inform us of the frame rate discrepancies compared to your previous results.
Frag Maniac:
Excellent, please share the frame rate variations compared to your previous performance.
Previously on CSGO 1024x768 low: average 20-30fps, peak 40fps
Currently on the same settings: average 40-50fps, peak 50-70fps
Previously on 800x600: average 30-50fps
Currently: average 50-70fps
Okay Maniac:
Yes, that appears to have resolved the issue.
I attempted to play Fortnite today and discovered my GPU was entirely inactive, despite being only using Chrome with no other programs running. I examined GPU usage while playing Fortnite and it registered as 0%.

I’m uncertain how to proceed.
