It was interesting switching from Windows XP/7 to 8.1, especially since most of our PCs were running Windows 7 back then. At first it was challenging, but I adapted quickly. Still, 10 remains significantly preferable in my view.

It's really lacking excitement—it could be dropped without much fuss. While you're working, Ubuntu 17.10 is back in the mix.

SUSE isn't as widely used as the other operating systems mentioned, but I can include it later when I have extra time.

CentOS 6.9 and RHEL 6.9 remain in the "security fix only" production stage. With the end of support expected at the close of 2020, CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 (released as version 7.4) are now in the Feature and Bugfix phase, slated for EOL in 2024.
