You can use the Windows key on other devices, but it won't be tied to your Microsoft account. Each PC will have its own license, so installing it there shouldn't cause issues unless you share the same key elsewhere.
Retail = Licence for one PC at a time (a.k.a. transferrable). OEM = Licence for one PC (a.k.a. non-transferrable). The licence gets linked to the hardware ID of the motherboard so as long as you don't change that its considered the same PC. I think there is also a OEM system builders licence too which is transferrable.
