The setup was successful. Did everyone check the device driver installation before swapping the WiFi module?

I've been adjusting the AX200, but it's not functioning properly yet.

It's strange since ASUS doesn't restrict the cards you can install.

It seems like you're asking about why AX200 isn't being allowed. Could you clarify the context or situation you're referring to? That way I can provide a more accurate response.

They push customers toward purchasing a computer with an upgraded WiFi card. Numerous laptop makers follow this approach. They permit only a few cards and stop further options. Perhaps these are cards they specifically test. It ensures the whitelisted cards function properly. This minimizes the need for technical assistance if you’re aware of compatible cards. Likely it also cuts down on tech support inquiries.

Upgraded to an Intel 9260 fine on my Zephyrus G without issues; Windows also installed drivers immediately after boot. The only hiccup was a short screw getting stuck in a larger hole—can’t pull it out with a magnetic driver, and it resists when trying to insert. Hopefully I’ll still be able to open the laptop for future upgrades with an extra NVMe SSD.

ASUS doesn’t supply this information personally, but they don’t blacklist cards either, so any compatible hardware should function. It’s interesting that the AX201 didn’t work in my setup even though it came with a CNVi card, while the AX200 did, which seems unusual since AX200 isn’t meant for CNVi slots.
