I’m planning to sell my old X570 Gaming Pro Carbon soon. I’ve forgotten the static bag that came with the motherboard. For others who also lost theirs, what alternatives did you use? I’ve agreed on a buyer and will complete the sale in three days. I need a way to securely bag the motherboard—otherwise it might end up in a box without any protection. I don’t want an unhappy customer because of this issue. To add to the confusion, I went to an electronics store to look for static bags, but they didn’t have them. People suggested newspapers, bubble wrap, and plastic bags, but I’m still unsure which is best. If anyone has recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.

No electronics shops are available nearby? They only carry bags. In that case, I've managed with the motherboard box alone, which has worked well. Static protection isn't always required.

I visited the most popular electronic shop in my area. I tested three different stores without success. The staff didn’t carry them and didn’t know how to sell them. An elderly gentleman recommended using a plastic bag, which I hesitated to try.

For in-person delivery, a standard mobo box suffices. When shipping, consider purchasing an anti-static bag to protect the components. You can locate these at electronics retailers or online. The suggested model is available here: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07FSD9MB9/r...98PCGYGB2G

The seller is located a long distance away, which means delivery is necessary.

Sure, you can easily order them from Amazon. It’s usually best to buy in larger quantities since it’s more economical, and the items stay fresh for a while.

I misunderstood the location as a hardware store instead of an electronics store. Thank you for clarifying. When you mention "deliver," it means arranging shipping through a company to bring it to him. For most people, this involves using a courier service. Do you have any specific details about the item or address?

I reside outside the United States and don’t rely on Craigslist. I’m using a shipping service to send items internationally. Bubble wrap seems to be the top choice right now. If I can’t locate it and must just place the board in a box, what are the chances of damage? I have some trash bags available, but I’m unsure if they’re suitable for protection.

The goal is to ensure the board stays secure and shielded from shaking, impacts, and drops. Any cushioning is acceptable as long as it prevents movement and protects against damage.

You might also contact the seller and mention your belief that ESD bags would be simpler to obtain. Inquire about their preferred method for packing inside the box.
