Alternative options for non-RGB DDR4 memory with capacities of 32 or 64GB
Currently using Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 RAM. I'm considering an upgrade for several reasons... I don't need RGB, so I want to minimize the interior lighting. I already turn off the RGB now. Increasing capacity would be ideal. My first child is handling more complex calculations on this machine; his school laptop isn't keeping up with the coursework. I have two extra slots available, so upgrading again might be feasible... or should I go for 16GB DIMMs to retain those slots and allow future upgrades? I'm wondering if I'll stick with this path or switch to a newer AMD model eventually. For suggestions on suitable non-RGB RAM, Dark Alpha seems to have positive feedback. Crucial offers a non-RGB Ballistix Corsair variant, but it's from Corsair. Would appreciate any advice if you can respond. Thanks!
