You're looking for alternative software to MSI Command Center that doesn't consume excessive disk space. You need a tool with overclocking capabilities but still allows you to manage fan speeds, specifically compatible with your Z170A chipset (i7 6700K and MSI PRO GAMING CARBON Mobo).

If you overclock, make sure to use the BIOS. Always rely on the BIOS for adjustments. When you're in OS mode, use Intel XTU for fine-tuning. For fan speed, SpeedFan works well. Setting everything up can seem confusing at first, but I'm happy to assist whenever needed

I’m not a top-tier overclocker and already have an i7-6700K, so I don’t feel the need to overclock much—though I’ll keep it up when it becomes outdated. In OS software, it usually manages OC automatically. I also have Intel XTU included with my motherboard, which is convenient. While SpeedFan helps manage fans, I prefer MSI CC because its interface uses all my disk resources. My HDD is the only affordable part, and I don’t want to risk data loss by changing it.

🙁
I think I’ll give SpeedFan a try, thanks for the advice!

Replacing hard drives with SSDs is straightforward. A few basic cloning tools and a bit of time are all that's needed. I rely on EaseUs ToDo Backup to duplicate my hard drives onto SSDs. The process takes longer when using the free version, but it functions well and successfully copies everything.

Also run the speed fan, after everything is configured, you won't need to check the UI once it takes over haha

Thanks for the assistance, I've noticed an issue with the AHCI.sys service in Windows 10. After turning it off via Command Center, the Command Center is functioning better, but I'm still working on setting up SpeedFan. I might keep using my old SSD for a while longer (I really don't want to lose anything after the last time I swapped HDDs during an upgrade).
