He’s having trouble fitting both memory kits into his setup. The package only includes two 4GB sticks, but his motherboard uses a Gigabyte GI Sniper Z170. The issue is that the BIOS doesn’t recognize the RAM, causing the monitor to stay off or show a black screen. Any advice would be welcome!

Have you attempted simply connecting them? If the PC fails to start, enter the BIOS and choose a RAM profile that runs slower, or consider slightly raising the DRAM voltage (up to 1.4v).

He attempted the fix but the screen would immediately go black and stay off. I’ll include these details in the report.

He might have to adjust the XMP/DOCP settings in his BIOS to a slower rate for the new RAM to function properly, or boost the RAM voltage (up to 1.4V) if he wants to keep its performance.

It seems the original configuration should be refreshed, resetting settings and placing the memory of that type within the appropriate channel.

The problem could relate to Jedec profiles. The 2400mhz memory might be a Jedec and XMP setup or simply lack XMP support. Timing settings change significantly at Jedec Frequency if this is correct.
