I'm struggling to pick the right platform. I have a solid gaming PC and an Xbox, so I'll stick with the Xbox controller no matter what. On the PC side, I'd prefer better graphics and features like TS and alt tab for chatting. But on the console, I like the comfort of playing in bed without distractions. The screen size is smaller on PC, but it's quieter. For the console, I think a bigger screen would be better since the game is single-player only. I usually play multiplayer on my PC, but I'm not sure what you prefer.

For visuals, use a PC. For comfort, opt for a console—though I’m a PC gamer and prefer playing there.

You're joking about playing Far Cry with a controller, right? It would look similar to this video: https://youtu.be/hsqu7FQog5M?t=18m18s. You could even connect your PC directly to your TV.

You need an HTPC in your bedroom, it streams to it via Steam so you can play in bed. The PC receives my preference for single-player games, while I only have multiplayer titles on my Xbox One since I have many friends who play on Xbox Live.

I received the Steam link and Fallout 4 appears to be low quality on TV. I've set all the possible quality options to their highest, but compression artifacts remain visible.

It's too distant and it would need to travel across my entire room. I'm okay using a controller for aiming.

Really? It seems like your setup matches exactly on both devices, even though they’re connected differently. I’m not sure if the wiring affects anything unless yours is different.

Same here. Both my Steam link and my PC use a wired connection to the router, but I notice some visual glitches while playing Fallout. They’re not bad, but they’re definitely affecting the graphics performance of my PC compared to the console.

They might fire me for what I said, but those X-Box1-PS4-PC side-by-side views show them almost identical. Sure, PC usually edges out, but on a TV from a couch or bed, consoles work just fine.
