Alternative for Dulashock4 or Xbox One controller for PC
London Drugs will offer the Dualshock 4 for $39.99 starting tomorrow.
After using the X360 controller, you won't be able to move away from it. I also enjoyed the Xbone setup, though the 360 feels more comfortable. DS4 works well too, but it doesn't stand out as much for me.
From those two options, I recommend using ds4 and ds4windows mainly for wireless use on your PC. If you decide to pick it up, consider adding grip-it stick covers. The main problem I've noticed with the controller is its lack of anti-slip grip, though newer ds4 models seem more stable.
Apologies for referencing an old discussion. I didn’t intend to start another thread. I’m aiming to enhance my at-home streaming experience with my TV. I currently own a Wii U and really enjoy the Pro Controller. I tried setting up a Bluetooth stack, mapping it to an Xbox controller, and everything else worked—except for the DS4. While the Xbox functions natively, I managed to get it working with a program (and maintained Bluetooth via the adapter). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I suggest a PS4 controller due to its touch pad, allowing you to create various macros through gestures. However, if you prefer an Xbox setup, I’m open to that as the XB360 fits comfortably in most hands. You don’t have to rely on a specific controller type—PS4 works fine too. Whatever suits you best!
I searched for an Xbox One Windows controller around $40. I experimented with a Dualshock 4, but it kept triggering Xbox prompts in every game. Eventually, I opted for a dedicated controller, which performed perfectly and felt reliable.
