I frequently switch tabs in games and experience FPS dropping to around 5-15 frames per second. In a Fortnite recording, this happened when I pressed the alt key, causing the drop to 15 FPS. After the clip, simply pressing the whole keyboard resolved the issue. I've tested running the game on different settings like F.S Borderless, F.S, and windowed modes, but it didn't help. I've searched extensively for this problem and haven't found a solution that worked. I've also tried updating drivers, using MalwareBytes, and checking my PC specs (i7 7700K, no overclock).

It might be due to not concentrating fully on the game, shifting it to background tasks. Try pressing left alt + enter inside the game to test. Alternatively, launch it in fullscreen with a windowed view.
