Hi, I have a few issues. I downloaded several OC programs for gaming and wanted to improve my GPU performance, but it doesn’t work properly. Whenever I try to increase its clock speed, it stays the same even when I lower it. Anyone know why this happens?

Did you confirm the application now?
Under stress (such as playing a game or running a test), is the setting still active?

It's unclear if the setting remains consistent during heavy use like gaming or testing. Yes, I've applied it, but it doesn't alter the performance under load. While running a game or benchmark it only reaches 1440 MHz.

AUnlikelyPotatoe :
1. Have you clicked "apply"?
2. Is it still that way when under load (playing a game or running a benchmark)?
Yes, I pressed apply but it doesn't change. During games or benchmarks it only reaches up to 1440 MHz. That's not good, what overclock are you aiming for (above 1440 i think)?

1st- have you pressed "apply"?
2nd- is it still that way when under load (playing a game or running a benchmark)?

Well, actually right now I started a game (Dying Light) and saw it boost with Evga PrecisionX 16 monitoring. Then I tried to push it further, but the game turned red and the screen went black. So I’m not sure how to get over 1440 without getting a black screen.

You mentioned needing a single GPU setup, focusing on one program at a time, and you're looking for the one associated with your card.

AUnlikelyPotatoe :
you mentioned "multiple OC programs" before or all at once? you need just one active at a time. You probably want the one that matches your card. What GPU do you have?
I only use one at a time—I've already deleted others or turned them off. Your card is a GeForce GTX 960 WindForce with 4GB RAM.
