I should also note that the Windows reinstall I performed wasn't a full wipe—it was a repair version setup that Windows provided to fix system files. For some reason, when I tried a complete reinstall (while keeping my files), it caused errors.

Consider using nVidia Studio drivers instead of gaming drivers for better stability. It might be due to something, but you can't install an OS on a drive that already has one—you need to format it first, which erases all its data.

You're already using a studio driver, and memtest86 confirmed no RAM issues. The real challenge is the long stress test needed to trigger the black screen or flicker, which takes 30–60 minutes. After the crash, games and tests start stuttering often. You're running out of solutions.

The duration indicates a possible temperature problem—have you verified the readings, particularly for the GPU?

for a small fee, I believe the GPU/driver is generating more power spikes compared to older versions, aiming to pull more performance from the card. Many systems come with 1000W PSUs, but I personally recommend going with at least 1200W for handling those spikes.

My GPU temperature stays below 65°C even when fully loaded, and the CPU never exceeds 70°C under heavy use. I reinstalled the graphics driver, checked via Device Manager, used the DDU uninstaller, and switched to the newest studio driver. I also slightly reduced the voltage on both components just to clear up other potential issues. The system has been running smoothly for a while now, though it's tough to confirm if everything is fully resolved. I'll post updates if it stays stable this week. If the problem continues, I'm likely dealing with a failing GPU, probably the main one.

It seems the PSU might be the reason for the issue.

I'm keeping track of this so I don't lose my mind. I think I fixed the problem. Just using DDU wasn't enough; I needed safe mode, removed the 3090 driver from Device Manager, and then used DDU again just to be sure. After that, I installed the latest studio driver, and my system stayed stable ever since. It seems the graphics driver might have been corrupted, making a third-party uninstaller insufficient. I'm not entirely sure what caused it, but thank you for all the help in figuring this out.
