Hello, as mentioned in the title, I recently upgraded all my components: CPU i7-14700k, motherboard Asus Prime Z790-P, 2x32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance DDR5, power supply Corsair RM1000, operating system Windows 11. Remind me if I missed anything. Back to the issue – every game I start loads but crashes before reaching the main screen, sometimes within seconds. I also encounter corrupted game files and error messages. This happens with Steam titles as well, but on Riot Games everything runs smoothly. However, my Discord stops working after a short period once both programs are open. I haven’t experienced this before upgrading. I’ve asked Geek Squad for assistance, but they couldn’t resolve it. I’ve checked file integrity on Steam, reset the PC, performed cleanings, booted with just one RAM stick, used a different GPU, and tried many other solutions. I’ve watched numerous troubleshooting videos but haven’t found a fix. If anyone has faced similar problems or knows how to diagnose this, it would be really helpful. Edit: It seems there might be a stability problem with my RAM. All symptoms – random BSODs, crashes to desktop, and occasional random reboots – match what I’m seeing now. Is there a definitive way to test if the issue lies with my RAM? Edited March 7, 2024 by Pencilsharp32
I don't have the precise details since I wasn't familiar with those specs back then and it was a pre-built model from NZXT. What I recall are the CPU and RAM — i5-9600 or 8600 with 2x8GB memory using T-Force. It seems NZXT included the Windows key in the motherboard, so when you changed systems you had to purchase a new key, which is why I upgraded to Windows 11 with an OEM key.
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to your Downloads folder (use the desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to the instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.
It looks like there might be an issue with your drivers. Have you checked for any updates or known fixes?
