Hey guys! Over the past five days I've been working on fixing the stuttering problem in games. I've tried using DDU GPU, updated drivers, reinstalled Windows, and even downgraded to Windows 10, but nothing helped. Even after reinstalling Windows, the issue remains. When I switched to Windows 10, it didn't improve things either. My motherboard's CMOS didn't resolve it either. I've run memtest86 to check RAM health and got no errors. The PSU voltage during gameplay looked normal too.

I think my GPU might be limited by the monitor—using a 1080p ultra-wide screen could be the culprit. My specs are: AMD RX 6700 XT, Ryzen 5 5600 B450M, 16GB RAM, 3200MHz, 600W PSU, 30-inch 2560x1080 monitor. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be really helpful!

I haven’t used my PC in two months. I recently upgraded my graphics card about three days before I went on vacation, but I didn’t have a chance to try it out.

Began playing Need for Speed Unbound and Space Marine 2 recently. Both games are running with stuttering. I have a Radeon overlay active, which makes the stutter visible in the game. The overlay also displays spikes.

Cooler Master has been utilized with RX 480 and RX 6600 earlier (my previous GPUs). I understand it isn't the PSU.

For NFSU it's possible the issue lies with your CPU, you might be facing a bottleneck

That's what I was wondering too. I recall when I installed the GPU, I played Warhammer 40k Darktide for a day and it performed perfectly. I also remember my CPU was solid since I had an RX 6600 before and it functioned normally. Based on that, I think the issue might be related to its 1080p even though it's ultra-wide.

To verify, employ a monitoring solution (Adrenalin, RTSS...) to track CPU and GPU activity. If GPU utilization stays below 100% while CPU remains high (depending on core usage), it points to a CPU limitation rather than a VRAM problem. With 12GB at ultrawide 1080p, the RAM isn't a concern (well under 1440p).
