Hello,
most of my games began to fail right from launching.
All drivers are current. I attempted to disable all antivirus software, but it had no impact.
Game files were verified and re-downloaded without success.
Turning off the wallpaper engine and Fences also didn’t help.
Running as admin, enabling compatibility, and disabling full-screen optimizations didn’t resolve the issue.
A scan for viruses using Kaspersky found no threats.
Could you suggest any solutions other than restoring or reinstalling Windows?
The games that crashed include:
- Rainbow Six Siege: crashed unexpectedly (no error code)
- Splitgate: Unreal engine process failed (UE4-PortalWars)
- Valorant: infinite start screen, no response (critical error occurred)
- Divinity Original Sin 2: closed immediately without error
Games that didn’t crash: Minecraft, CS:GO, Aimlabs, Wallpaperengine, Benchmarks (C20, Heaven Benchmark).
PC specifications: Windows 10 ver 20H2, R5 3600, RTX 2080, Strix E-Gaming x570, Seasonic Focus Plus 750W.

I think the power supply unit might be failing, but usually the system stops working completely. I’d try reinstalling Windows to check if the problem continues.

Are there any overclocked GPU CPUs? Have you installed the latest GPU drivers? Is your BIOS current? Have you looked into updating your hardware drivers?
