The USB connector on the laptop has become damaged, causing unusual noises each time you insert or remove the flash drive. I created a simple tool using a regular pin to straighten the port. At the end, I crushed the pin with pliers. I adjusted the connector by sliding the plate into the port and turning it inward toward the long black rectangle. After turning off the computer, I repeated this process on all four sides of the USB connector. It improved the situation. Are there any specialized tools available for fixing such connectors? Over time, these ports can warp again if used repeatedly, eventually breaking at the bend point. I’m attempting to use a USB extension cable instead of a direct port. A USB hub would be perfect—it could support multiple devices—but I don’t have one. I only have an extension cable. Discarded phones in landfills have worn-out ports; I often remove their batteries and swap them for working ones, but the ports are still too small to repair. Ideally, a phone with wireless charging would work best, and connecting via Bluetooth instead of a cable would help preserve the port.
