I purchased a used Alienware Aurora R10 Ryzen Edition case. I understand the thermal performance is limited, but I always wanted one and found it hard to justify its price. The case was in perfect condition, came with the power supply and motherboard, and surprisingly included the X570 board along with a 1000W power supply. Alright, so I installed my GPU (RTX 3060), 32GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance LX 2x16 3200MHz), and my NVMe and SSD drives. I set the defaults, adjusted time and date, and it worked perfectly. The real issue began when I tried configuring the XMP profile. I couldn’t get it to register; every time I enabled XMP to activate the PC, it reset back to default settings. I found out online that this was a common problem if you don’t use Kingston Fury RAM, which was included with these systems. I bought 32GB of Fury RAM hoping that would solve the issue, but it didn’t. The Fury RAM only supports the 3000MHz XMP profile, just like the Corsair RAM did when I tried to set its 3200MHz profile. If I leave XMP auto, it defaults to 3000MHz and then forces a manual reset to 3200MHz. After shutting down and restarting, the fans kick in, the PC restarts three times, and it reverts to default settings. I’ve been really frustrated trying various fixes. Even with 3600MHz RAM, I managed to run it by manually adjusting voltage and speed, saving and restarting, then going back into BIOS to set the XMP profile to “Profile 1.” But it still won’t retain those values after power cycling. Anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
