I understand your perspective here. The low scores from certain reviews stem from their lack of effort to finish the games. It’s important to remember that some reviewers focus on simpler, iterative titles while others prefer more complex ones. I’ve had to leave IGN and now mainly check GameSpot for trailers and updates. For any real impressions, I’d trust TotalBiscuit’s take instead, as his videos give a clearer picture—even if you disagree. At expos, it seems games are often easier at the event than in the final version, which is why people tend to find them more accessible, but this isn’t always the case.

Not ordering ahead, but staying attentive. I really enjoy horror games, though we’re seeing very few these days. I’m also quite selective—when I thought Outlast, the latest survival horror hit, didn’t quite live up to expectations, I skipped it and moved on by about three-quarters into the game.

He shared the initial clip about a week prior to the official launch, and I did too since I was eager to see it.

The game is AWESOME. I had two dozen mild heart attacks and I'm not easily shaken. It's one of my favorite games to date. It also runs surprisingly excellent. My 780 and 4790k keep me just under 100fps with everything maxed (including HDAO and SMAA TX2) at 1440p. I'm absolutely ecstatic about this masterpiece.

I concur, after completing the game it was nicely timed.

I'm currently playing and saving my progress. I'm aiming for the Mercy Or Prudence achievement on the hardest setting during my first attempt. It's been about an hour so far, and I'm enjoying the experience. The only drawback is the limited human interaction—only a few people appeared, but their field of view is too narrow. I was positioned right next to one person, who didn't notice me. I have a concern though: can I be detected or killed while accessing terminals? Does the game pause during that activity? I really want to read all the documents and content, but safety matters if it feels risky.

I'm loving this game I'm about 8.5hrs in and its fantastic it gets everything but the lip-syncing right I love the atmosphere and they've done a great job of keeping it very authentic. Its one of the few modern games that has me really looking forward to my next play session I've only triggered a android onto me once before going into a terminal (not realising at the time) and what happened was as soon as I left the terminal he was right in my face ready to grab me, IDK if he was waiting for me to finish on the terminal or if it was just good (or bad depending on how you look at it) timing. Actually come to think of it I did get skewered once by the alien trying to hack a door so I have a feeling it doesn't pause it which would be fitting for the game. Its funny you say that because when I started playing I was exploring everything I could regardless of what was around but after playing for a few hours when things started getting a bit more stressful and there's danger around I became solely focused on getting to my objectives and getting the f*** outta dodge! LOL (fortunately the threat of imminent death isn't always around so you can do a bit of wondering). I found this funny too: IGN: 59/100 IGN Italia: 80/100

It seems fine to skip pausing the game during your hacking or other actions. I believe it would be better to pause the game while you're reviewing documents. Having an archive for reading would make sense. I'll run some tests tomorrow.
