I chose to run the aida64 stress test on my ny r5 2600x to observe how my wraith prism performs. Almost immediately after beginning the FPU (not CPU) stress test, my CPU temperature rose to 80°C and the fan increased to 100%. I halted it right away since the BIOS emitted a temperature warning beep. Is this something to worry about? Just verify again.

FPU stress in AIDA64 resembles Prime95 smallFFT. It simulates excessive load and temperatures for worst-case scenarios, but actual temperatures are typically around 20°C lower than expected.
